Gun Stand

Fitting Instructions

With the stand collapsed and on the floor, open the foot pedal and lay your gun slip (with gun inside) onto the stand.

(Important note, do not pull on the retaining clips otherwise you may break them, feed any excess strap through the clip by hand if you need to tighten them).

Attach the top retaining strap to your slip, Do not over tighten, otherwise the bag will pinch your gun and make it difficult to remove.  We recommend being able to slip your hand easily behind the top strap.

Attach the bottom retaining strap to your slip. Again there is no need to over tighten.  Then as displayed in the picture wrap the hook and loop fastener around the frame and the slip tightly.

How to Activate the Stand

Once your stand is fixed to your gun slip, place it in an upright position.  Lightly hold the top of your slip with fingertips.  Do not put any pressure, or try to lift the slip, you are simply stopping it from falling over.

The easiest way to open the stand is to put gentle downward pressure on the foot plate to activate the legs. It is very important that you REMOVE your foot from the footplate once the legs have extended otherwise you may break the foot off when leaning the stand back onto the floor. Please see our demonstration video for visual instruction: VIDEO

How to use your stand effectively

The stand has been tested in most conditions and on various surfaces.  Please use common sense when choosing a place to locate your gun and slip i.e. ensure both legs are on even ground, on extremely windy days remember that once you have removed your shotgun the slip and stand are very light.  To avoid the stand being blown over you can hang your cartridge bag on the back of the stand to increase the weight and also face the stand and slip into the wind.
